Tom Braun began his career as a service technician in Bryn Mawr, PA, in 1983, where he gained hands-on experience in the mechanical aspects of the pool industry. After exploring a few corporate roles, Tom returned to work with Bill Donati, the owner of Allied Pools, in 1988. Under Bill’s mentorship, Tom learned invaluable insights into the pool business. With Bill's support and guidance, Tom decided to venture out on his own, founding U.S.A. Pools. Over the next decade, Tom focused on servicing the Main Line area outside of Philadelphia, taking on increasingly larger projects and building a strong reputation for quality and expertise.

 In 1993, Tom successfully completed the inaugural pool builders’ program through the National Pool & Spa Institute (N.S.P.I.). Over the following years, he expanded his expertise to include pool renovations, such as tile and coping replacements, re-plastering, and deck work. By 1995, Tom began servicing commercial pools, with notable clients including Morey’s Pier in Wildwood, Keansburg Amusement Park in North Jersey, the Philadelphia Zoo, and the National Zoo in Baltimore.

 Seeking a slower-paced lifestyle, Tom and his family relocated to Cape May Court House, NJ, in 2000. The peaceful, close-knit community provided the perfect setting to focus on growing U.S.A. Pools and raising his family. Armed with little more than a business card and determination, he established the company in Avalon. Since 2001, U.S.A. Pools has built over 1100 pools across the Jersey Shore, from Cape May to Brigantine, and currently provides ongoing service to over 1000 accounts.
